Katy’s Logo Design Brief:
Katy is a party planner. She sells her banner and sticker creations on Etsy and needed to make her vision of a pink and gold logo brought to life. The logo needed to represent her girly-girl and professional personality. From her openness and quick comfortability it was notable that this party planner had a big heart, loved cute things, but wanted to be taken seriously, above all else.
The Thinking Process:
After showing Katy the mood board examples she gravitated towards the sharp, clean type, unique shapes, and gold lettering. Thus, the logo needed to be sharp, sophisticated, with hints of femininity. It was decided that a simple, playful design intertwined with a "girly" vibe that simulated in the play in color was the go-to design. As for sparkle...there was no other choice better than gold!
Cassandra’s Logo Design Brief:
Cassandra is a talented dress designer from NYC and wants to make her talents be known. She wanted her logo to have a strong clean look with a unique type. Her mission was to use her nick name and for it to look as sophisticated as her dresses.
The Thinking Process:
After showing Cassandra the mood board examples, as expected she chose a sans serif type with a chic looking border and an extravagant color pallet was the way to go. My conclusion…glamour and nothing less.
Isabelle & Manny’s Wedding Monogram Design Brief:
Isabelle & Manny Edwards wanted to create a unique custom interlocking monogram for their wedding. Isabelle and Manny wanted a monogram that represented their vintage yet modern style.
The Thinking Process:
They gravitated towards a victorian font for their monogram with a lot of twists and textures. I decided that just using only two letters from their names was not enough. To help create that interlocking look I used the letter of his last name which Isabelle was going to adopt. What you see is their initials M, I, and E.
